A more interesting lunch break than usual today, cos I got the chance to tell Jack Straw what a liar he was while he was being interviewed by Television news. Didn't really want to, you understand, it was just something that had to be done- I couldn't bear to think of him standing there and not getting heckled by someone in a crowded street. Not surprisingly I was collared by three cops emerging from an unmarked van and had my name and address taken.

So far, so twatty. Does anyone reckon I'll hear more about this? Any chance of being charged with some trumped up 'threatening behaviour' bollocks under the Terrorism act or something? It would quite absurd, but who can tell nowadays?

Good work YATR. If they take it any further, squeal like a pig and make it as public as possible. Perhaps even see what Jack Straw himself thinks. It's a good story.

Good work, YATR. I doubt you'll hear any more of it, but then again you may have broken Straw-esque "anti-terror" law, I suppose.

How can it be that we now expect heckling to be met by police intervention, eh?

Oh, nothing particularly scabrous. "600,000 Straw! You Liar! You LIAR!" was the gist of it.

I'm sure this attack of acute paranoia will pass.

YATR - Maybe they wanted to note your name down as you understated the number?

Can the police insist on taking your name and address for that? What happens if you refuse?

Make sure you set your alarm for 3am from now on, so you can have a cuppa already brewed for the anti-terrorism brigade, when they storm your place, with TV camera teams in close attendance behind them.

I would never have had you down as one of those 7/7 bombers, y'know. Still - it's always the quiet ones, innit?!

Good stuff YATR. Of course another of Blair's legacies that often doesn't get mentioned has been the massive erosion of civil liberties.
