Phoebe, did you get a ticket to carry on your FA Cup odyssey? Mine finally arrived yesterday and I am off to the Midlands for tomorrow's big Cup tie.

I was aware that Chasetown are the lowest placed club still in the competition but the paper this morning appears to claim they are the lowest ever to appear in the Third Round. Is this true or have I misread it?

It is a very strange feeling to be the giant in a potential giant-killing as opposed to the David. Though I have to say amongst the people I travel with there is at least as much excitement about attending this as there was for the Anfield trip earlier in the season. I even dreamt that we were going to lose the game 1-0 after missing a penalty but this would be balanced out by me achieving one of my all-time goals of touching the match ball during the game.

Stories of being the victim of lower or non-league humiliation here please.

Us losing to Weymouth, Bath City and Hayes too

I am off to Chasetown tomorrow too. Am seriously far more excited about it than I was about going to Anfield.

Can't wait

Some great pics of the ground ready for the big game tomorrow:

Bath and Hayes too, don't forget Chairman.

Have you people not allowed yourself over time to treat these defeats like nasty scars and use them as triggers for good bar-room stories and to impress chicks?

I even have an inflatable FA Cup with blue ribbons that I procured at the cup final last year. I think it will have to make an appearance in the absence of me spending all evening making a tin foil one.

We'll be in black though, PBF. You'll be taken for an over-excited fresh-faced young Scolars supporter by MOTD.

I don't have a ticket at the moment, as Chasetown's ticket policy appears to be piss off as many people as possible. 400 tickets may well be going on sale this evening, and an announcement is imminent.

Pheobe

If you don't manage to get one from the 400 allocation, then turn up in the Burntwood Rugby Club before the game. This is where the Cardiff fans have been told to go for a pre-match pint.

Bound to be a spare or two floating around, especially if you get there as the coaches arrive etc

Chasetown has a fascinating market if you don't get a ticket.

No, this is the only possible alternate attraction.

Are they the lowest placed club ever to get to the third round then?

Chasetown is a real dive (I lived near there for eight years). Hardly surprised they have such a wonderfully pointless attraction.

The team has been doing pretty well over the last five years though.
