Not from you all as people- the complete opposite; anyway, I've got one of you lot living in my flat. Hopefully he'll tip me the nod, mark my card, give me the SP on OTFathons and club nights, exactly as before.

But time to move on from hanging around on message boards for so long. It's not good for me, I don't think. I need to get out more.

edit- that sounds like you lot don't get out. I don't mean that at all.

So a lot less posting from me in the new year though I will be available for special occasions- Scarborough Festival, MCC v Champion County, Duchess of Norfolk's XI, and (especially) to take a hundred off some posh medium pacers at Fenners or the Parks.

See you around. If you see me here in future, please act like it's a special occasion.

PM me your e-mail or "blog" (is that what the kids call them?) address, I for one would like to keep in touch, whenever I feel like a proper chat about the art of spin bowling in 19th-Century London.

good luck tubbs. I wish you the best in whatever you are doing.

(has he gone yet? bastard! never liked him... breath like a trojan so I heard... tosspot.)

But, from what I read (and I reserve the right to withdraw anything I say at any moment, especially and notwithstanding, if it harms or insults any person or living thing* at any time, and or in any way shape or form) you are one of the good guys.

Go get 'em!

Boo!

Let me know if you need any advice on where to go in Cornwall. (Or anything else, but I can't think what else I can competently advise on.)

Who's he living with, then?

And who are we going to turn to now when we need a restrictively conservative, Received Culture viewpoint on subjects such as art and architecture?

(If that won't bring him back, nothing will.)

Ah, that's a pity, Chris.

I still have your number, right? Am sure I'll catch up with you again when down in London. Apart from anything else, my cheesemonger is interested in the churches tour...
