Wow.

I got nothin' else, just...wow. Or "Vov" as they say in Poland.

More news here and here

Spitzer admits link, apologizes to family but does not resign (yet).

He's just prolonging the pain at this point.

Especially if these excerpts from the complaint are accurate.

Hubris claims another victim, and it looks like the convention will be at least one superdelegate short.

Looks like he was trying to have it both ways, superdelegate wise.

Will he have to resign ? I mean, if he himself busted a prostitution ring and then gets caught in one, I suppose he'd have to. But you know, Bill Clinton and David Vitter.

This must be the Wall Street Journal's dream of dreams.

Other than that, it's incredible how these high-profile Dems can think that they can take on the most powerful and expect to not get caught with shit like this.

I'm just trying to figure out how Law & Order is going to rip this from the headlines and turn it into a murder story. They've done stories about high profile politicians and high priced hookers, but not this exact combination.

BTW, what do you get with a $5,500 prostitute? That seems outrageously expensive. At the end of the day (or the hour, apparently. The article says its $5,500 an hour. no word on the daily rate), fucking is fucking.

For $5,500, I'd accept nothing less than [fill in name of celebrity crush of the moment here]. And she'd have to actually enjoy my company.

Good news for Obama, perhaps.

When I was at Howard Stern, there was a phone number we were told to call. It was a LA Raiders cheerleader who was charging $10 G's a night. She would get with Saudi princes and all of those types. $5,500 is cheap to most high-priced hookers I've seen.

Discretion, one would hope.

But apparently not a hell of a lot of "operational security."

That raises a few questions.

A) When were you "AT" Howard Stern? What does that mean?

B) Who "told you to call" a hooker? In what context does that come up?

C) How many "high-priced hookers" have you "seen?"
No offense, JV, but I have a rough idea of what your salary is and I don't think you should be blowing it on hookers. And, you're married, right? So there's that too.

A) My internship with the Howard Stern Show in the Fall of 1993. I worked with Scott the Engineer in the Production Studio. I was on the air on Oct. 4th 1993 to describe a fight that Jackie "The Jokeman" Martling had with his wife at a beer festival.

B) Scott the Engineer was given a phone number by a listener that was a blanket-solicitation by a LA Raiders cheerleader who had a night job. We recorded it, but it never made the air (probably due to legal issues and not wanting to get the cheerleader in trouble.)

C) Seen with my eyes ? Quite a few due to my 7 years living in Manhattan. Also seeing the types that would come up to an unnamed Croatian tennis player who may or may not have won Wimbledon, or the types with Russian gangsters and Hollywood stars (including one actor who may or may not have won an Oscar for portraying an alcoholic drinking himself to death in Las Vegas) the few times I went to the China Club.

However, a $20 lapdance or two is as far as I've gone in that direction. I have no problem with prostitutes, and what happens between two consenting adults is their business, but the only thing that spooks me out is the types that I'd "follow".

As much as I respect Gov. Spitzer, I would not want to go where he has gone.

Also, many porn stars supplement their income with five-figure dates.

Maybe, I actually can't remember when it was. I seem to remember it being around then, as Robin hadn't done her news yet and after I talked about it they had calls from Nancy Siriani and others during the news.

Scott always sent me to ask Gary questions. So I was in there with Stuttering John, and I said how I heard the fight. He would always sleep while he answered phones, and immediately sprung to life. I was shitting my pants. Dry throat, cotton mouth, all of that. It also sucked to rat out Jackie after he and his wife were so nice to me during the festival.
