Could have been 4-0 according to the commentators, but now Cocu has scored, and now it's 2-1 with 25 minutes to go. Feck.

So PSV lost yesterday, but a Stam-less Ajax went to the second last team in the league today and drew. Ajax loan player Vertonghen scored for the other crowd. Nobody wants this title. So instead of going 1st, Ajax have dropped to third on goal difference.

code:

1. PSV 31 21 5 5 68 67-23
2. AZ 31 19 9 3 66 77-27
3. Ajax 31 20 6 5 66 75-33
4. FC Twente 31 18 8 5 62 64-33
5. Feyenoord 31 15 7 9 52 53-56
6. Heerenveen 31 14 7 10 49 51-38
7. Roda JC 31 12 9 10 45 36-36
8. FC Groningen 31 13 6 12 45 47-50
9. FC Utrecht 31 12 7 12 43 37-42
10. NAC Breda 31 12 7 12 43 42-48
11. NEC 31 11 7 13 40 31-37
12. Vitesse 31 10 7 14 37 48-48
13. Sparta R'dam 31 9 6 16 33 36-60
14. Willem II 31 8 6 17 30 29-58
15. Excelsior 31 7 6 18 27 38-57
16. Heracles Al. 31 5 11 15 26 25-54
17. RKC Waalwijk 31 5 8 18 23 29-58
18. ADO Den Haag 31 3 8 20 17 37-64

Useless shower.

It'd be great if AZ Alkmaar won it, except for the van Gaal factor.

AZ, Ajax and PSV all level on points now. AZ with signifcantly better goal difference, assuming that's the tie breaker.

Ajax and PSV both have winnable looking games, but it'd be a Deportivo style choke for AZ not to win at Excelsior, I'd have thought.

PSV and Ajax both choked against Exelsior already this season. Exelsior are shit, but are masters of getting behind the ball and giving away very little against big teams. They have nothing left to play for in the league however.

Ajax's opponent, Willem II, have nothing left to play for either, and Willem II have a habit of letting in a lot of goals against Ajax. Don't be surprised if AZ win 1-0 but Ajax put seven past Willem II.

People all over the place are suddenly claiming to have been lifelong AZ supporters, it's really starting to get on my tits.

PSV's choke has been very impressive. Look out for Ronald Koeman's new book: "How to get from 8 points clear to third place in only five matches."

I've always loved AZ.

Especially at the moment.

I want to see frustrated Ajax players on their haunches, staring helplessly into space, after the game next week.

And after that, Feyenoord, having scraped through into 5th place, will miraculously knock you out in the play offs as revenge for last year when you were 4th and still got into the Champions league.

Generally on the last day all the big games are shown simultaneously, PR7.

"And after that, Feyenoord, having scraped through into 5th place, will miraculously knock you out in the play offs.."

It would take a miracle. Feijenoord have massively over-achieved in getting to where they are now. Given that there is no cash to improve the squad for next season, a C.L. place would lead to catastrophy for the P.V.V. voting scum-balls.

So thinking about it, yes I would like Feijenoord to win the play-offs just to see the Feijenoord Legioen humiliated.

Fuck Pym Fortuyn

Fuck Gert Wilders

Fuck the PVV

Fuck Feijenoord

Arrived in Amsterdam yesterday for the long weekend Queens Day combo, had not looked into this thread until now. This looks very exciting indeed as I do not recall experencing a champion deciding day for three teams in my entire football watching life.

Any OFTers sticking the telly on tomorrow in Dam?

This is completely mad.

AZ are down 2-1 to Excelsior, who could have had more against 10 men. PSV are 4-1 up against Vitesse and were virtual champions until two minutes ago, when Ajax got a second against Willem II.

And now AZ have equalised following a possible foul on Rotterdam's keeper.

20 mins left.

Cocu makes it 5-1. PSV virtual champions.

Excelsior down to 10 men.
