Fancy a kickabout?

Come on, let's hire a five-a-side pitch somewhere and have a game. I'm old, fat and shit (think present-day Terry Gibson) but haven't played in ages and fancy a good-natured kickabout.

What do you say folks?

I could be up for this. Could be a one on one (with rush goalies, of course) if no one else responds . . .

Book it for a couple of weeks time, and I'm in. Definately.

But only if we can go drinking after.

I am SO up for this. I haven't played football in absolutely ages and am itching for a game. Count me in.

As long as you're not all world-beaters mind; I'm not really that brilliant, and to say I'm lacking fitness is an understatement.

I had to give up my 5-a-side Wednesday night game because I was offered some lucrative work at the same time. It's been the biggest mistake I've made for sometime as I'm already missing it like crazy.

However, the fact that my team haven't won a game since I left (we were on a 10 game winning streak), disguises somewhat the current void in my life.

When you're playing good football week in, week out, everything in life is great.

make it over the Easter fortnight (or either adjunct weekend) and you might see the Cumbrian Ali Daei there, too.

I could be up for this if it's on the right night.

For those of you who haven't played in a while, don't worry - I play fives most weeks and I'm still rubbish and unfit, so chances are we'll all be starting at the same level.

But only if we can go drinking before.

Lovely, I thought this was a nail-on nil thread. How about some time in the week commencing 26 March, and if it goes well, we can do it again a couple of weeks later at Easter so the Galloping Major can play?

If you do this on the evening of the 28th I may be able to make it, which would be great. But there's a few ifs and buts in that - I'm only in town for a few days, and there's lots I need to do - so don't put me down as a certainty.

Personally, if a convenient time could be found, I'd be well up for making it a weekly arrangement.

Do you have a venue in mind, BDG?

Drinking after = good
Drinking before = bad
