Thanks for not putting Valencia in the 1X2!
Guillermo's going to be OK.

I've noticed that Deportivo II are currently top of Segunda B. What happens if they get promoted and Deportivo get relegated? I assume that Deportivo II wouldn't be promoted and another side would take their place?

I've always understood that the A and B sides can't be in the same division but if you get multiple A&B sides being promoted or relegated doesn't this make relegation/promotion issues in Spain quite complex?

Commentators such as John Motson have a fit when they have to work out groups in World Cups (quite straightforward normally). They'd throw an absolute fit with the Spanish league system!

I think that hijo del Depor gets automatically relegated, if the main team comes down.

Exactly that, it happended when Atleti got relegated from La Primera in 2000. Atletico B were doing pretty well in La Segunda, but, despite Hasselbaink's goals, Atleti A were relegated and Atleti B went into Segunda B where they've been ever since.

I think that jefe is right about the Depor hypothetical, the leagues that allow reserve teams don't allow both the reserve and senior teams to be in the same league at the same time.

Ursus arctos:
Valladolid - Betis 1
Atlético - Espanyol 1
Levante - Deportivo 2
Osasuna - Mallorca X
Barcelona - R. Madrid 1

ursus minor:
Valladolid - Betis X
Atlético - Espanyol X
Levante - Deportivo 2
Osasuna - Mallorca 1
Barcelona - R. Madrid X

Valencia are getting their clocks cleaned (again) in Zaragoza; 2-0 after 30 minutes.

Valencia indeed looking very unlikely to score; Koeman apparently getting his fingers badly burnt, unless they produce something spectacular in the second half ...

And it's that man Zigic who leads the fight back, with Silva then equalising in the 82nd. Since then both sides have fluffed gilt-edged chances.

Well, waddya know? 2-2 and evidently Koeman's three-substitution gamble at half-time paid off ... perhaps Zaragoza were a bit unambitious towards the end and paid the price ... Now, time to snuggle down with a swift lata de cerveza or two and cheer on the lads in the Sanchez Pizjuan ...
