That's the new Tartiere then? Looks a bit like Genoa with the blocks in the corners. As new grounds go, it doesn't look too bad, could do with some coloured seats to make up for the lack of people!

Barca have signed Ezequiel Garay, Racing Santander's highly-rated Argentine central defender, "stealing the 21 year old from under the noses of Real Madrid and Juventus" according to Marca.

I think I've only seen Racing play once in the last year, but this guy's clippings are very good. Barca certainly need all the help they can get at the back.

Yes, all right, it was a bit big, I suppose...

Yes, it can be a desolate place on a wintry afternoon with the wind whipping around the ground, and only 4 or 5,000 people inside. In fact, it was finished off fairly cheaply and the lack of fittings to the bare concrete (in the bars, toilets, walkways etc.) can make it a bit depressing sometimes. When there's a goodly crowd in, however, the atmosphere is excellent.

Spain 0-0 France at half time, and the crowd in Malaga getting restless. France look very comfortable on the ball, stroking it around well (possibly except Willy Sagnol) but not really being very ambitious. Spain generally looking compact, but not getting down the flanks or attacking much either. Would have to go for a 0-0 final score prediction at this juncture ...

Well, Spain pushed forward a little and nicked a scrappy goal from Joan-born-on-the-same-day-as-Lodzubelieveit-Capdevila. France then went for it and Henry missed two glorious chances. 1-0 Spain.

The Spain kit is the best argument yet for bringing back the Inquisition (starting in Herzongerauch, of course).

The two chances Henry missed in the closing moments beggar belief, especially the header that went wide.

/Edit: On relflection, I don't think "nelief" is a word/

Gio got kicked solidly a couple times by Ramiro Corrales but should return no worse for wear. Rafa Marquez as well.

Henry's move to Spain has done him no good at all if this is indicative of his scoring ability now. He put a rebounding ball wide from about 6 feet out.

Meanwhile Trezeguet didn't make the squad, he had been offered a place in France A squad but rejected it. It was justified on the basis that Jupiter was in the ascendent while Orion is also rising and the lunar cycle is low.
