I'm tempted to poach 1927's academy director.

I noticed that! It was somewhat ridiculous, and perhaps evidence that 1927 asked for forwards from the academy (three forwards even more ridiculous than three in one day).

I am hoping my forthcoming goalkeeper is some cop. The reserve keeper is pretty shocking, and I am looking forward to getting to sack him.

It's all going rather horribly wrong.

Well.

We seem to be focused on the league.

Hmm...

Cardiff got gubbed. Green Star clear by six, and pretty much anyone other than those two could occupy the relegation spots.

Div 1 is all open again - any of the Knights, Dodgers, or Heffron could still win it. The Bakery are relegated (if that actually matters).

Oxford keep the title race going in Div 2 with a win against the Vicars - They need to win next week to be certain of being promoted, a draw will likely do it. If the Idiots win their next two games, the final day match up against Oxford will simply be a trophy presentation.

I must nominate Aryeh Huniu as signing of the season. Brought in during my bad signing spell (8m for someone young and a bit shit) and injury crisis; Played 11, scored 9, set-up 4. 7 Xpert Elevens. The guy is a god.

Bah, even when I log in and try I still can't win.

My lads are still sulking after last season's non-promotion or even a play-off after finishing second in the league debacle (not to mention the Kerry Packer-esque league restructuring).

Gah. Thought about resting the three players I had on a booking, to save them for the final, then decided to be full strength instead, only to lose and have two of them pick up a booking, ruling them out of the final.

And I've now got a food poisining threat over some of my players.

Green Star 2-0 Phoebe

but Phoebe win the cup, 3-2 on aggregate.

Phoebe did it in ugly, bruising and cheating fashion, picking up 7 yellow cards, and injuring two of Green Star's players.

Green Star had a goal disallowed and hit woodwork 3 times.

Congrats Phoebe!

Congratulations Phoebe. Wonder if the newly crowned cup winners can take advantage of the Dragons slump in form to declare UDI from being Cardiff's bitch.

Only one player suspended as a result of the Battle of Fredricksburg, but it is Phoebe's talisman, Theodore McNally.

Cardiff Dragons - AFC Phoebe 1 - 1 (1 - 0)

Underdogs of War - Green Star F-Burg 2 - 1 (1 - 0)
Puolimatkan - 1927 2 - 4 (2 - 1)

1927 suddenly are genuine title contenders. The relegation battle is as tight as ever.
