And, while we're about it, the one above it?

"Albeit a journeyman player"? What the shuddering fuck is that supposed to mean?

O'Donnell was actually a very handy bits-and-pieces man when Celtic won the league in 97/98, not that it matters.

The last sentence refers to the fact that they played Rangers last week.

Yeah, this one was all too comprehensible. What an absolutely shit post.

This is very, very sad news, obviously.

Please can someone send Gonzo away for a rest.

Terribly sad news about Phil O'Donnell. MOTD had a very cursory treatment of it tonight, slipped in between items. I thought they could at least have closed the show with it. He did after all play in the Prem, which might matter according to their scheme of values.

Yeah, but not for a Premiership Club. Ancient history, innit? Like, whatever, Grandad...

Yeah, like a clown like you even knows/cares about The SPL!

A sad loss to his family. No less so.

Ok.
But ph. a M'well acquaintance, nice chap, who did the intake of breath, said
'One of yours? Shame anyways?' and then put the phone down.

Are we both supposed to now feel profoundly differently?
Just our own reflections on what he 'meant' to us.
& for his sake hope Celtic dont try to observe a moment on Weds.
It would be the wrong time for anyone.....

Terrible news. My best memory of him was a well taken goal in a league cup win against Watford - a reminder of what he could have been had it not been for a series of injuries.

I wouldn't worry about it Gonzo, I'm sure his family are suffering less grief because he's only a journeyman
