Even though we were a club who were always in private hands, not one where a fair number of our "supporters" gleefully sold their shares for profit to new investors on the stock exchange and went off on holiday with the profits?

Do Liverpool fans make a distinction between Hicks and Gillett? Following up on Urs' point, Gillett has always seemed to be the quiet sensible - indeed, almost Canadian (or Canadien) - one and Hicks the bull in the china shop.

I must admit I don't even know which one is which, yet. I know one of them owns Branston pickle, so he's my favourite of the two. There's nothing better than a grated cheddar and Branston pickle butty.

a DIC takeover isn't gonna happen. they would have to pay hicks and gillett at least 350 million for them to make an acceptable profit, and in that case how are they going to make money themselves?
