I seem to have been roped into going to see them tonight. I'm pretty sure I've never heard as much as a single note by them. So what can I expect?

Staggering levels of earnestness and no good tunes.

Be sure to shout "Outspan!" at the singer. He loves that.

What does that mean? Is it like asking for the Robin Hood song at a Ryan Adams gig?

Ha ha, what Dr. Strangely Strange said.

Dullard music. Yet another earnest Dublin band who take themselves way too seriously. Can't believe they're still at it. The singer does a lot of solo gigs too. It's aural treacle.
I witnessed a fantastic row between their tour manager and our production manager before due to their customary lateness.

Yeah yeah yeah - expect an excellent live band who have a dedicated fan base and are unloved by the muzak kritiks...

Even though I know it's wrong to judge music by the way someone looks . . . fuck me Hof, it looks like you're in for a tedious night.

The way he's got his biro secured to the pocket of his Levis is rocking.

I'm inclined to agree, Carcass, and the other responses have hardly been encouraging, loose cannon's notwithstanding. Nonetheless, I shall approach it with an open mind.
