Oh incidentally, in LondonShite last night there was a piece on the Cure which managed to make 5 points about them, four of which were factually wrong. Including the erasing from history of their eponymous 2004 album. (Apparently the one that's yet to be released is their first since Bloodflowers.)

How do fuckwits who know nothing and don't do any research at all get to be published journalists?

Nepotism.

That was a bit special. Nah bollocks. That was a lot special. 3 hours and 15 minutes of pure joy.

They were terrific. Bit of a tour through Cure history as well.

Felt like the end but then it always does.

Yeah, I thought that. When he stayed at the end to take the applause rather than just shuffling off I wondered if it was the last time they'd do it in London.

The close-the-circle finale of 10:15 and Killing An Arab suggested that too.

But, as with the end-of-the-road tracks on virtually every Cure album, they are adept at feinting one way and going in the other direction.

I really, really wish there was a pub called the Green Man around here. (sigh).
