Ah, now this is my kind of mix tape - nice one, Furtho. I'm downloading this tonight.

G-Man - OK, sure... by "the OTF mix-tape blog", do you mean "your blog"?
No, my blog is Any Major Dude With Half A Heart , where I'll do things like write about love songs for the brokenhearted and defend the musical legacy of Lionel Richie.

Our blog is Touched Mix , the repository for OTF's mixed-tapes.

How could all those Halloween mix tapes overlook the fucking excellent "Every Day Is Halloween" by Ministry?

I've never heard of Touched Mix, G-Man. How does something get posted on it?

Just ask G-man to send you the log-in info. Or ask him nicely to post it himself.

Thanks G-man, I wasn't aware of that blog.
I don't see evilC's recent offerings on there though.

I've posted it already, and advertised it on Totally Fuzzy , which is an excellent music blog aggregator.

Touched Mix came about as a result of the Halloween Mix thingy we did in September/October. Then some on OTF did Christmas mixes, which were posted there, and Taylor's fantastic right-wing rock mix was posted there as well (also parked on Taylor's blog).

Evil C has two Halloween mixes on Touched Mix; I wasn't aware of other mixes.

Speaking of which, are we having another 'official' round of mixtapes?

I'm game. How about a word concept thing. You pick a word, and all songtitles must feature that word in some form or other.

Only suggesting it, very selfishly, because I've got a mix ready to go with titles featuring the word groove/grooving. That mix will go up on Any Major Dude... one way or another, so a better idea would be welcome.

Something a bit more abstract would be nice.

Clive has a Richard H.Kirk mix tape, and another on his 'Uncle Clivey's...' thread.

Yeah - I did my compilations/offerings on here kind of 'privately', basically because I'm too lazy and misanthropic to start a proper blog online. Sort of an 'amongst friends' thing. I don't mind those ones I put up on my 'Uncle Clivey' thread ending up on 'Touched' or even 'Totally Fuzzy', but I'd be worried about getting into troub for that Paul Quinn one where I included all of the artwork too.

I'll soon be updating the 'Uncle Clivey' one again. I've got the zip/rar files ready - all I need to do is upload them and write the blurb, which is what might take the time. This time the subject of my ...ummm, compiling... is going to be Pilote.

Okay it's done - I've just updated the 'Uncle Clivey...' thread, if anyone is interested.

And here ends the thread hijack!
