I saw an episode and couldn't get The Day Today comparisons out of my mind. It's interesting that it seems to take the piss out of regional news (which needs it some how), but it's too scattershot and choppy. Morris's creation was a controlled, strong shaft of spiteful genius. Broken News is all over the place and under-nourished.

It probably was, but not entirely a very good one. In fact, one bloke who really does appear on Midlands Today popped up in that mish-mash at one point (in the episode I saw).
