Is this the skiing equivalent of Italian bike frames?
If so, I understand.

Just discovered this brand in an article in a paper, had a look at the website. Most beautiful skis I've seen for a long, long time. In fact only old wooden ones in museum do look any better.

Very classy stuff.

He plays the snow "like jackdaws play the sky"

Mixing skiing and poetry. He asks me what the use is.

Yeah, it went over my own head. I thought I was playing on a Billy Bragg line- "mixing pop and poetry". He says "mixing pop and politics".

I'm a non-rhyming poet and wasn't aware of the fact.

Beautiful skis, they make my Atomics look garish. At least mine didn't cost 2,500 though.

But thanks MM for reminding me that barring a miraculous financial winfdfall I won't be going skiing this season. Bah!

More ski porn:

ohhhhhhhh. <drools>

I'm afraid I'm a heathen Snowboarder now, but I still remember the old two-plank shuffle fondly.

if anyone fancies a budget ski holiday, they can always crash round my flat in Val d'Isere. that makes me sound rich and dashing doesn't it? well, its seasonal accomodation given to me by the owners of the buildings I'll be looking after this winter, so its basically a big cupboard, but seriously if you fancy it and i can be sure of your moral stature then you can crash.

yep. from this sunday till when the snow melts, which wasn't till the 2nd of May when i last worked there. I can't do over New Years, but otherwise there'll prolly be space.

anyone who comes has to bring a full length comprehensive transcript of all that has been going on on OTF that I will have missed. I expect ganja could help there.
