Yeah Wingco, his was the bloodied face that appeared on the front of The Sun the day of the anti-terrorism law vote in parliament, beneath the headline "Tell Tony he's right" or somesuch.
He was rightly incandescent with rage about that. I'll try and see if I can get you a lend of the book, wingco.

Yeah, read his Guardian article about these events. I'm sure the book would be interesting.

I think that's the same John Tulloch who once wrote an unbelievably hefty academic textboook about "Doctor Who" (I tried to read it as a kid, and gave up after three pages because it was completely impenetrable; I tried to read it again about six years ago, and it was still a bit hardcore). Am I mistaken, or is it the same one?
I think if that had been me on the "Tell Tony He's Right" front page, I would have actually gone insane with rage before I could do anything about it - and this is *without* having been involved in the July 7 bombings. What little I know about this chap makes him seem a thoroughly good egg. I think I might drag out that "Doctor Who" book again and give it another go.

Thanks for the link, imp. I don't listen to that podcast because I already listen to Soccer Shout, and though they always promote EPL Talk, I always assumed it was just another wrap-up and preview show--I didn't know he did interviews as well. The description of the Christian Miles interview sounds interesting, but I don't know if I want to willingly listen to him.

It goes without saying that SiAFW makes an ideal Christmas gift for anyone interested in football and/or America. And it's dead easy to wrap.

Swedish mag Offside do reviews in every issue. I'll suggest they do one on this.
