Assuming this isn't a parody of the kind of tired, witless drivel that tends to be presented whenever something football related happens.

Most half-decent papers wouldn't tend to publish this level of ill-informed, repetitive, elitist, self contradictory bilge about politics, film or gardening so why do we always get a few of these for the football?
